Aurangabad,Maharashtra- Destination unexplored by Naina Dasan

Look carefully - the bibi ka maqbara can be identified by its similarity to the TAJ

Aurangabad, set up the most spartan and notorious of the Mughal emperors- Aurangeb will probably not feature very high on the tourist map.The city is better known as an educational hub for higher studies.
There are some historical jewels hidden away in this town of Maharashtra- the bibi ka maqbara- the miniature Taj that Aurangebs son, Prince Azam Shah  made for his mother.

The famed Ajanta and Ellora Caves are easily accessible from this city.
Aurangabad has a railway station and an airport- however connectivity could be a problem from the major metros as the trains and flights are limited. One has an option of reaching Manmad or Nashik and then travelling by road.
The roads are fairly good and modes of transport aplenty.

Accommodation is not heavy on the wallets for any genre of traveler as this city sees a sizable student community. One can club a visit to this place with the famed Shirdi temple and the Vineyards of Nashik a rather holistic holiday I would say.
