The news agencies, reported that the travel restrictions for foreign tourists for the Ladakh region have been lifted, barring the following countries- Pakistan,Bangladesh,Sri Lanka and Burma(they would still require the approval of Union Home Ministry).
The restricted areas on the tourist circuits which have been allowed to host foreign tourists include Karu-Chang, La-Durbuk-Tangtse-Lukung-Spangmik-Man-Merak (Pangong Lake), Leh-Upshi-Chumathang-Mahe-Loma Bend (Nyoma), Leh-Khardung-La- Khalsar-hunder-Turtuk-Pachathang Tyakshi (Nubra), Kargil- Khangral-Shaker-Chiktan-Leh and Dah-Garkone-Darchik-Batalik- Slimo-Kargil (Leh-Kargil).

PashaTuks has a query out here. While this decision is going to promote the belts tourism and subsequently bring in FOREX,can the pristine nature and glory of the place be  retained with additional human influx?Does the area still remain unspoiled by human encroachment.

Is it not true that commercial activities would be of a different nature for the foreign tourist than the local tourist?Catering to food and sanitary habits habits would definitely dilute the pristine balance as Pashatuks can seriously not imagine the European or the American tourist using water freely, the way the tourist from the tropical countries do.
Pashatuks raises this concern, as every time Pashatuks has revisited areas which were relatively uncharted till we stumbled upon it, we have found a certain degree of degradation of the place due to  commercialization for the purpose of providing better amenities for the influx of tourists.
The recent floods at Kedarnath would perhaps be an indicator of how nature dislikes human degradation.
The price of putting this virgin and relatively uncharted territory on the International map is anybody's guess.
Pashatuks would like the readers to post their candid views based on their personal experiences.
