Churches and Hill stations- potent combination.Debyani Dasan Reports

 Formative years of a life spent under the tender loving care of missionary sisters have an effect of a slight leaning towards the faith that one is not really born into.













As a result I normally tend to gravitate to any old church when I see it on any of my travels.

What is it about every hill station in India, that had the Christian community of India set up the most amazing architecturally rich churches complete with intricate stained glass windows, rich alters and wooden pews?

Everything that invokes spirituality in an individual irrespective of the faith he or she follows. Even the backdrop to these churches are picturesque -whether you make a visit to the cemetery or just take a walk around
